About

I’ve spent nearly 20 years as an art director and creative director in fashion, music and culture. Before that I studied at Norwich School of Art and Design, where I fell in love with life drawing.

That first year was the best of my life. Hours in the life room, charcoal all over my hands. Then real life kicked in. No trust fund, no idea how to make a living from drawing, and tutors steering me towards something more practical. So I did graphic design at Brighton, and it’s served me well.

But I kept drifting back to drawing by hand, and this is where I’ve ended up.

Right now that’s an alphabet. I’m drawing every letter in charcoal the way I’d draw a body, looking for the weight and the movement in it. They’re released as prints a few at a time, so you can hang your initials or a word that means something to you.

Life drawings will be back soon too. Trying to take it a step at a time.
