I'm Louise. I've drawn bodies in charcoal since art school in Norwich.

My new letters collection come from the same place, the bit of me that forgets to be a perfectionist for half an hour and allows myself to make marks based on flow more than accuracy.

The making

Drawn in charcoal on synthetic paper, then printed on heavyweight matte fine art paper so the blacks stay juicy.

How they're made

I draw every letter by hand with a stick of charcoal that gets everywhere. Some come out neat. The wonky ones tend to be my favourites.

Printed to order in the UK and posted rolled. Give it a day under something heavy before you frame it.
